Cacao de la Rosa
Ceremonial cacao for the ones who drink slowly.
Pure Criollo beans from small farms in the Peruvian Andes. Stone ground, nothing removed, nothing added. No sugar, no milk powder, no filler.
What you receive is cacao as it has been used in ceremony for centuries. A little bitter. Deeply warming. Alive.
This is the same cacao I serve in my circles and retreats. I keep it in stock because people kept asking to take some home.

Before you drink
A simple way to begin
You do not need an altar or an hour. You need a cup and a few minutes where nothing else is asked of you.
i.
Warm 240 ml of plant milk or water. Do not boil it.
ii.
Grate in 25 to 45 g of cacao. Whisk until it dissolves.
iii.
Hold the cup with both hands. Three slow breaths.
iv.
Drink slowly. Then stay a while. That part matters most.

How is this different from raw cacao powder?
Powder has had the cacao butter pressed out. Ceremonial cacao keeps the whole bean intact, fat and all, which is where much of the warmth, the texture, and the effect lives.
Will it keep me awake?
Cacao contains theobromine rather than large amounts of caffeine. Most people find it warming and steady rather than sharp. If you are sensitive, drink it before mid afternoon.
Can I drink it every day?
Yes. Many people keep a smaller daily cup of 15 to 20 g and save the fuller ceremonial dose for once a week.
Is there anyone who should be careful?
If you take antidepressants, have a heart condition, or are pregnant, speak with your doctor first. Cacao is a food, not a treatment, and nothing here replaces medical advice.
Do you ship outside Norway?
No, not at the moment.
Can you hold a cacao ceremony for my event?
I do. Retreats, women's circles, tantra events, yoga gatherings. Get in touch and tell me about your group.
